Bike Tour: Around Drejø – 12 km
Step into island life on Drejø, where sea, village life and open landscapes come together. A bike ride around the island offers close encounters with nature and insights into life in The South Fyn Archipelago.

Drejø is located in the heart of The South Fyn Archipelago between Fyn, Tåsinge and Ærø. The island originally consisted of two separate islands, Drejø and Skoven, which were later connected by the narrow isthmus known as Drejet. This distinctive feature gave the island its name and continues to shape its landscape.
The bike route begins at Drejø Havn and follows quiet roads through varied scenery with views of the sea on several sides. Along the way, it passes Bækskilde Strand, known for its shallow waters and peaceful surroundings, before continuing to Drejø Klint. Here, the coastline opens towards the archipelago with views of neighbouring islands.
The tour continues through open farmland to Drejø By, the island’s main village. Characterised by its traditional village ponds and well-preserved rural environment, the village reflects Drejø’s long history as a settled island community.
From the village, the route heads to Drejø Gl. Havn, which once served as the island’s main connection to the outside world. The harbour area reflects the importance of fishing, shipping and transport between the islands. The route then returns to Drejø Havn through the open countryside.
With short distances between coast, countryside and village life, the tour offers a varied introduction to Drejø’s landscapes, history and unique position in The South Fyn Archipelago.
