We keep the city clean together, now and for the next generations

Water

Water In Denmark, we can drink water straight from the tap. Our water primarily comes from groundwater wells, ensuring a reliable and healthy water supply. Ongoing tests of water quality ensure that the water reaching the taps is free from contamination.

As a visitor, you do not need to buy bottled water. Instead, we encourage you to use reusable and sustainable water bottles, which you can fill with tap water at your hotel, holiday home, campground kitchen, or wherever you are.

Clean city

Svendborg is a city rich in culture, history, nature, and water activities, and a city with a strong focus on the climate and sustainable behavior. Here, the municipality works closely with the local community to improve the city's cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere by encouraging attention to waste, promoting helpfulness and mutual respect, and encouraging consideration of consumption habits.

In Denmark, we generally aim to create cities that are clean, friendly, and safe to live in. And when a city is pleasant to live in, it also becomes exciting and inviting for tourists like you.
