Øster Skerninge Church
You are getting a big surprise when you enter Øster Skerninge church. The whole interior is blue! When a thorough restoration was begun in 2002 it turned out that under the white lime in the church peeped a fine blue from the restoration in 1870. The interior had, as it happened, been painted blue, and the parish council therefore decided that it was to be blue once again. Øster Skerninge church – dedicated to St. Martin – is built in the Gotic style with granite boulders at the bottom in the walls and brick further up.
