Culinary Welcome Centre

Get inspiration for a culinary tour of the local food producers and farm shops.

The 140-year-old warehouse at the harbour front is where two of Svendborg’s main attractions meet: the maritime environment and the delicious and tempting locally produced food.

Throughout the years, a lot of loading and unloading have taken place here as sailing ships brought goods to and from the archipelago islands. Today, this historical practice is continued in the Culinary Welcome Centre, where shelves have specialties from local producers, including beer, wine, as well as ice-cream from Skarø.

At the Culinary Welcome Centre, maps, leaflets, and ferry timetables are at your disposal, and staff are ready to assist tourists and locals in planning their culinary trip by passing on their own top tips for themed tours of the region’s breweries, chocolate producers, or wine makers.
