Atelier Clot, Bramsen & Brunholt

Step into a living lithographic workshop on Frederiksø in Svendborg, where a craft more than a hundred years old meets contemporary visual art in historic, maritime surroundings.

Atelier Clot, Bramsen & Brunholt is a gallery and lithographic workshop on Frederiksø (island) by the harbour in Svendborg. The venue traces its roots to Atelier Clot (atelier/workshop) in Paris, the city’s oldest lithographic workshop, founded in 1896, and shares more than a century of printmaking tradition alongside contemporary exhibitions.

Housed in former shipyard halls with a maritime, industrial feel, the gallery presents top-class lithographs by Danish and international artists. Changing exhibitions offer insight into the distinctive language of lithography and its role in art history.

You can also experience the craft up close, including a lithographic press more than 200 years old. Talks and open workshop days accompany the exhibitions, where artists and cultural figures share knowledge about art, process and tradition.
