Naturama
Step into a sensory story of nature at Naturama in the heart of Svendborg. Light, sound and immersive displays reveal new perspectives on the world around you.
Naturama is the natural history museum of the Region of Southern Denmark, presenting the diversity of nature through modern and atmospheric exhibitions. Knowledge about life on land, in water and in the air is conveyed through visual storytelling where aesthetics and science meet. Highlights include whale skeletons, Denmark’s largest egg collection and displays of Nordic and Arctic animals.
The museum also focuses on local nature and biodiversity, presenting the interaction between plants, animals and humans in engaging ways. The exhibitions are designed as immersive experiences that invite both children and adults to explore connections in nature.
Naturama also features a café, terraces and relaxation areas, as well as a play area themed around an adventure forest. Here, children can explore the layers of the forest through play, while guided tours and activities are offered throughout the year.
