Shelter: Sofielundskoven
The shelter site is located in the northern part of the forest, in a small clearing in the spruce forest on the edge of a small stream.
Sofielund Forest is a municipal forest of approximately 40 hectares owned by Svendborg municipality. The forest is very diverse with many ponds, old oak trees, spruce trees, beech forests, untouched areas, and areas with newly planted trees. There are fine trails throughout the forest and many small footpaths. There are many great opportunities for outdoor activities in the forest, including a resting area with a fire hut, a shelter site, and a fire pit.
At the shelter site, there are two large shelters with space for an entire school class. There are 2 fire pits – one large one for cooking and a small cozy fire pit close to the shelters, as well as tables and benches.

- Fire pit: Yes, 2 on the shelter site. A grill in the fire hut, a large fire pit outside the fire hut, and another fire pit in the southern part of the forest.
- Firewood: No, but it is allowed to collect dead wood from the forest floor
- Waste: Remember to take your waste home with you or deposit it in the garbage bin at the parking lot at Ryttervej.
- Dog: Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash
- Parking: at the parking lot at Ryttervej. From here, it is about 600 meters to the shelter site and about 200 meters to the fire hut. Between the fire hut and the shelter site, there are about 400 meters of footpaths and 800 meters of good gravel path.
- Distance to the Archipelago Trail: approximately 2.5 km.
