Skarø Church
Until Skarø got its own little church in 1900 the islanders had to sail to Drejø to attend church services. This might well mean daunting sailing trips with the small vessels or rowing boats. An architect from Odense designed the little church, and it was also builders from Odense who travelled down to the island to built the church. The church is built of red brick and roofed with black slate. The church bell does not hang in the steeple but under the roof in the gable.
