SVEND – Danish Film and Culture Days

For an entire week each year, Svendborg is the setting for a grand celebration of film – with sneak previews, film series, debates, exhibitions, workshops, and the SVEND award show.

One of the highlights of the week is the big award show at the town square complete with red carpet and rolling cameras. All the well-known Danish actors and directors convene in Svendborg for the awarding of the coveted SVEND prizes.

The SVEND is Denmark’s only film award being decided by the movie-goers themselves. And that’s why it’s only natural that everyone is invited to the award show!
