The South Funen fruit trail - 25,4 km
Follow the apples through South Fyn’s fertile landscape. This cycling route links fruit stories, old tracks and coastal views.

The South Fyn Fruit Route is a cycling route through an area where fruit growing has shaped both landscape and local history. The route starts in Svendborg and heads east inland towards Skårup before continuing south to the coast at Åbyskov. From here, the ride follows the coastline back to Svendborg with views across The South Fyn Archipelago.
The route follows parts of the former Svendborg-Nyborg railway, which carried fresh fruit onward from 1897 to 1964. Along the way, cyclists pass orchards, roadside stalls, vineyards and coastal stretches that reflect South Fyn’s long fruit-growing tradition.
Its history is linked to the Weber family, who founded Denmark’s first fruit plantation in the area and influenced gardens, villas and paths. Fruit growing remains an important part of the area's identity and can still be experienced along the route.
